Hi, my name is Lacy Kuehl a Native of Florida. I am a Driver/Musher as well as a spokesperson for Diabetes Awareness. I have been racing since 2014. I race to spread the symptoms of diabetes as well as for Diabetic Ketoacidosis survivors and people that have passed away from Diabetic Ketoacidosis.

In 2010 my baby brother Rocco lost his life to DKA (Diabetic Ketoacidosis) 2 weeks after his first birthday due to being misdiagnosed with a virus. Diabetes doesn't run in my family, my parents have heard of it, but they had no idea of how serious it was.
Losing my brother was devastating to our family, and it is now my mission to ensure that parents and children worldwide know the symptoms and what to look for so that a diagnosis can be made sooner. No parent should have to lose a child from diabetes, and a child shouldn't have to lose a parent from diabetes.

I'm starting my mushing journey with Team Petit racing in Alaska for the Jr Iditarod on February 25th, 2023. I will be spreading the symptoms of diabetes throughout this time. This is a fantastic opportunity from Nicholas Petit and Scott Jansen, and I can't wait to see where this takes me and Drive for Diabetes Awareness.
